| Had a fine few hours today on a private lake in the Cardiff area - 2 commons ~ 7lb each, 3 pike at 4, 5 and 13lb (which was a real treat), 2 tench at 3 & 4lb, 6 bream to 4lb plus some roach and perch. Feeder with red maggot for the bream, roach and perch; giant pineapple flavoured sweetcorn for the tench; popped up squid and octopus boilies for the carp; and roach live bait for the pike. About a 60lb bag I guess. I don't know whether there are any other species in the lake...but it was most enjoyable getting such a mixed lot. And everything was fighting like mad - even the pike. I'm guessing that water temperatures have risen lately and the fish are getting active KKyum |
