Lure session

Managed to get a couple hours lure fishing in this afternoon for the pike.
Fairly rough day with a fair wind gusting putting plenty of colour in the water around the shallows,started first with a bright pink twin tailed jig with the water being dirty which seemed a good move on the first cast i had a take off a fish that tail walked right out the water and spat the jig back at me ,i would guess that it was a fish of around 6-8 lbs,well that was first cast so it gets me thinking that i was in for a few fish but after another 20 mins thrashing the water to a foam no more takes materialised.
A change of lure saw me putting on a bright lime green fox micro rooter and walked to another spot ,having just reeled in and recast i looked down at where i had just lifted the lure out of the water and i noticed a great boil in the water,a fish had followed my lure in on the previous retrieve by this time i my lure was just approaching the spot where i saw the water boiling and bang i,d got it this time,with hitting the fish virtually under my rod tip it was only a short fight and i was soon chinning a fat looking fish,anyway on the scales she went 12 lb which is a new P.B for me on a lure.
I fished on for another hour or so around the shallows and had 2 more takes that didn,t hook up so then i had to be heading back home.
So all in all an enjoyable session with a new PB so not bad for a couple hours fishing.
Oh, i did intend to take a pic but i had left my camera in another bag at home
