| Going back to sea fishing this close season my Zander fishing is going badly this year (Kevin makes it look so easy!) to be honest i'm only getting out every 2 weeks at most, despite what I said before Christmas. So, once the Close season starts, i'm going to dust down the sea fishing gear and head off to the North Norfolk coast. I'm told Weybourne is the place to go as you don't need to fish on the tide, apparently its like Chesil beach (probably on a smaller scale!) I'm after some thoughts on the gear I've got and if it's up to the job: Grauvell Arena 450 - great big 15ft F/S light for its size, but hard work cos of the lentgh Penn Powerstick Surf - 3 piece F/S or M/P I'm ok for big pits and i've also got an Abu 7000 - not sure if its genuine, paints coming off!¬certainly doesn't cast like the C3 i used to have, but I got it for heavier rock work Still got a veals tripod with a beefed up heavier centre leg and lots of Gemini leads, lots of silly complicted rigs and loads of Shockleader, oh and a tackle box full of Varivas hooks. Any pointers as bet way to put all this together to catch some sea fish come March gratefully recieved - Hopefully no one will suggest I get a skip round Barrie |
