mornin. does any1 know if you need a Licence to fish the river teigh up past the bridge to teighmouth?

I would have thought that it depends where the estury becomes the river! I pressume that if it is actually the river once past the bridge then you will need a licence. This could help:-

i thought the rule was if its tidel then you dont need a lincence, but im not 100%

No mate, providing you're fishing for saltwater species you should be fine.

Generally the rule is you can fish tidal waters up to a point called 'NTL' (Normal Tidal Limit) always marked as such on an OS map. This is often the first bridge crossing on the river from the sea end if that makes sense. Bear in mind though that access inland is often on private land and whilst you can fish the tidal waters - you cant get there !

I used to fish the Kentish Stour at Grove Ferry (Great Roach fishing) & that was tidal. Still had my rod licence checked though.
