Re: west bay info?

Went down there with the Wife a couple of weeks back & there appears to be plenty of parking this time of year. Theres a large gravel car park right behind the beach which I think was free & i don't recall seeing any barriers. There's also two tackle shops, so bait should not be a problem. Plenty of pubs too.....

Re: west bay info?

Hi Andy,

During the summer campers overnight in Station Road opposite the old station, between the 2 car parks, I've overnighted there myself on a couple of occasions. . There is room for 3 camper vans. There is also free parking in George Street but it is on the narrow side.

I'm not sure whither the car parks are free during the winter.

Cheers

Drew

Re: west bay info?

Hi Andy,

I bought bait in West Bay several times this Summer before using it at West Bexington. On one trip I walked out onto the Harbour entrance and there was a sign restricting fishing to float only. I don't know if this is a year round restriction nor what part of the Harbour area is covered. Might be worth checking.
