| Re: A decent 18lb mono hi lee i have alway's used 15lb red ice.landed fish to 30lbs+ on it with no problems.i have also found the penns i use cast better with 15lb as opposed to 18lb.i have f/spools loaded with daiwa tournament but i don't rate the line much, i have read many post's on many lines.but i would'nt take too much notice as what one person think's is the dogs swingers may not be anothers cup of tea!! trial and error is the best way, good luck in your search __________________ species 07/codling/whiting/pollack/lsd/pout/ |

IT wont make a massive improvement but it will make one,it will also cut down on tide drag ,slightly. 15 lb is ample for cleanish ground fishing that we do in the solent areas and most others,if you were to fish rougher marks then 18-20 plus depending on roughness. john __________________ One day i will post a catch report again. |

| Re: A decent 18lb mono Currently use 15lb Daiwa Sensor - really nice line ... Also use 20lb Ultima Seastrike for the 'rough rod .... most of the Ultima's are good IMHO - the 15lb Ultima Black Ice is another good one ... So many lines - so little time ! |

| Re: A decent 18lb mono We use Daiwa Sensor 18lb for uptiding, its excellent, low stretch and good abrasion resistance. __________________ Mike.. Take nothing but pictures, Leave nothing but footprints, Kill nothing but time Mike`s Fishing Photo Gallery |
