devon holiday help

hi guys & girls
just booked next years holidayin devon at a place called cofton cottages,starcross near dawlish. was wondering if any of you kind devon peeps could tell me about the fishing nearby ie beach rocks pier, estuary etc.and also tackle and bait shops in area.any hslp and tips would be gratefully appreiciated. looking forward to your replies.

Re: devon holiday help

Hello mate.

Plenty of fishing in the Exe, but I haven't done much over on T'other side where you're staying.

Of course there's the Exe, Dawlish, and Teignmouth a bit further down the coast.

I'd speak to BassBandit, he's from Dawlish and should be able to put you on the right track.

Re: Tackle shops, Exeter Angling (In town centre), Exmouth tackle (On the strand in town) and I'm sure there's one in Teignmouth that's good. I'm not sure if there's one in Dawlish itself. I don't venture over there too much to be honest.

On our side, there's Budleigh, Ladram or Sidmouth and they all have their moments. Give us a shout nearer the time. I'm sure Ping and myself won't need much persuading to venture over the river.
