Warmer waters?

Just read Octobers issue of Sea Angler magazine. A 58lb swordfish was caught a mile off the north east coast. Typical sea temperatures 5 years ago were 6 degrees, and recently they have been 16 degrees. It makes you wonder how this is going to change our sport in a few years time.

Re: Warmer waters?

Think I heard somewhere that someone is trying to farm Barramundi down south to sell to the supermarkets. Be interesting if some of those escaped!!!

I had barramundi at a restaurant with the missus last month. It's possibly the nicest fish I've tasted. Expensive though.

Re: Warmer waters?

dont get too excited! lads!
we ar not going to get warmer waters and lots of tropical fish, infact the oposite!
the melting ice cap is pushing the gulf stream further away
from our shors! (the gulf stream being the reason we dont suffer
heavy winters like canada even if we ar on the same latitude)
just gana get colder and wetter for us! sorry
