Big tides lately?

well there certainly has been round here in the south coast, loads of places i fish have been flooded for the past few weeks. does anyone know why this has happend?

well tides r to do with the moon so its probs been a moon phase when the tides are very strong, i think its a gibbeous phase or a full moon or something but we have had nice big tides here as well, but the moon phases are weakening now so the tides are getting smaller.

They havnt been too big they have just been a constant 5.3 here for 4 days straight now they are dropping in size again

i think the above average tides are due to the amount of rain and the short downpours we have had , and they really do flood out the esturies !!!!!!,
its not about the tide , but the hamble esturises , they do get affected
by a short fast weather front !!!!

maybe rivers ar high due to the pathetic amount of rain we have had!
but ar nothing to change tide!
your right dan we have just had some of the biggest tides in 20 years
dosnt make an ounce of diffrence to fishing tho!
