charity competition

lads we are holding a charity competition up here in the northeast, if any of you are up this way on the dates then please feel free to show your support and fish this event.
we held the same event back in march and raised a good sum of over £400 for the blyth volunteer lifeboat service.

Re: charity competition

im sure we will mate , we are getting donations coming in from all over i think we have 6 top class rods, about 7 reels, and various other prizes including tackle boxes meals in restuarants etc, in total i think we have almost £2500 in prizes upto now anyway.as you can imagine it takes some sorting out with booking rooms tickets insurance etc, and all this is dont under a voluntary basis only , there is about 8 of us who have decided to set this up , we are hoping it is going to turn into a yearly thing that is on the match scene calanders.
next step could be trying to put penn points on the next event but we are still working on this.
the best thing is about this is we dont really have a prize structure, this will deter all the top rods from coming along and bagging up all the rods and the best prizes, i think we have a rod for 1'st,4'th,8'th,12'th16'th and 20'th , with a special rod for number 44. ( dont ask why 44 LOL ) we think it makes it more interesting in a format like this , as its for charity nobody minds as it is designed to be a fun event as well.

Re: charity competition

Looks like it's well organized, it's great to see people putting the effort in to raise some money for a good course. I hope you will top your last years fund and that you can make it a yearly event.

Thombs up for all the volunteer workers
