| Going to work this morning. Every morning i run into work,it takes me anlong side some mud flats and then over a lock gate on my way. For the last few years ive always looked at a gully that runs through the mud near the road wall and though "by that looks Bassy" but ive never fished it. Well this morning i went a bit earlier and there was an old chap fishing the gully. There can have only been 2ft of water flooding through but he showed me two nice bass of about 4lb. I now know where my next sess is going to be He told me he s had bass up to 8lb and lots of them ,on this morning evidence i believe him. Cant understand why ive never fished it ![]() __________________ One day i will post a catch report again. |

| Re: Going to work this morning. Know what you mean, I walk to work and have to go over the Portsbridge roundabout at the top end of the city, this crosses Portscreek and at low water, it is about 12" deep and 10 yards wide under the bridge - you can see dozens of mullet - some quite big all sitting there waiting for .... who knows, they are not stranded there as they are there everyday - tempted to take some bread and a rod ! |
