Penn beachcasters

Hi all ,
im looking at buying a new beachcaster,
ive been looking at the penn viper 13ft 4 ,
also there is a pit viper ,although it seems a bit lighter ,
does any one know the difference ?????,
i want a rod that can cast 4-8 ozs ,
is the viper a good rod ????????

I have a pair of sidwinder evos love them , but there the first proper beach rods Ivs had ( broom hands before )

Do not know about the viper thought

Lee,
Pit Viper is 2-4oz Bass/estuary rod,whereas Viper is 4-8oz match type rod.
These are being discontinued by penn,New range coming out in November called Affinity, so if your still after one you might get a bargain,End of line etc!!.
If you get Veals mail order catalogue,says in there.Free in this months sea angler,

P.S...why dont u pop in Poingdestres,got great stock + discounts,Century,Daiwa,Penn etc,or get a Shimano Aspire 130m 4-8oz superb rod only weighs 500gm built. My favourite so biased!!!!!!!
