Abu Downtide / Uptide

Just after some advice from those that fish the Bristol Channel and boat fishing please.

I have an Abu Uptider for the channel and winter fishing for the cod. I would like to get another Abu boat rod but should I be looking at another uptider or a downtider that would take care of fishing for most circumstances like a 20lb class for the inshore wrecks etc ?

It will predominentely be used in the winter as a downtider ( so I then cover both up and down tides ) and then as a back up rod for pollack, conger etc in the summer in Exmouth !

Any advice would be appreciated.
