| Daiwa SL30SH Has anyone any experience of using a Daiwa SL30SH? I`ve just bought one to replace my aging Shimano Speedmaster (what a reel that was/is) and i`m using it with a 13ft ABU Esprit. Cant fault the retrieve as its 6:1 but I cant seem to cast it any further than my old set-up. Pehaps its the way I cast as I`ve never been shown. Only a self taught semi-off-the-ground wallop. I can usually get around 110 yds or so with my old set up. My old set up was the Shimano coupled to a heavy old conoflex blank. I thought I might have got more out of this new reel with the Esprit. Any views? __________________ Andy. ------------------- Treat each day as your last, one day you`ll be right. |

| Re: Daiwa SL30SH iv got one its not realy designed for distance casting just a heavy shore reel for bigger fish and rough ground as far as i know if you want to cast further you can get different brake blocks for it think theres 2 colours and 1 will help it cast further but slightly more chance of gettin birdies __________________ |
