| Re: penn 525 super mag I use a 525 from the boat down tide, reason being it brings a fishless rig up very quickly from two hundred foot at the end of a drift, as we don't cast would love a level wind on it.  __________________ Poor prep= Pathetic Performance |

| Re: penn 525 super mag the 525 is a forgiving reel with the mags hard on(still a fast reel then), but start letting them off is scarey had mine since dec last year and still only off 2 clicks(in daylight) but cannot fault power on retrieve awsome __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives |

| Re: penn 525 super mag Go for it mate, I bought one for £109 from a trader, I'm now looking to purchase a couple of spare spools so that I can change according to fishing conditions/venues etc. I'll also be looking for casting lessons too, it's a long time since I used a multi for beachcasting and it looks like the Penn has a fair few improvements over me old Mitchell 624  |

| Re: penn 525 super mag they are the best reel u can have i went through three mag elites in a year and now own two 525 supermags they are much more robust better retrieve and can match the distance of the mag elite without fail. all the parts are just genrally better made turn the brakes of and give it a full service then hit a full pendulum cast you will hit at least 200 yards minamal if u hit the cast right they are at home on rough or smooth ground, i have even loaded mine with ceramics and the distances gained from a power cast is huge, best buy you will ever make |
