Question Dexter or Rapala?

Which do forum members find are the best Bass catchers. Dexter wedge type lures or Plugs?

Re: Dexter or Rapala?

for me it depends where im fishing, i prefer to use a rapala/plug from deep gulleys and rock marks where you dont need to cast to far , and i use the dextor when i need to cast that bit further, both work about the same for me , i never go bass fishing without taking both though

Re: Dexter or Rapala?

I use Dexters for everything. Think they are fantastic. Never tried Rapalas.

What's the difference, got any pics? I'm fairly new to lure fishing but find it great!

Re: Dexter or Rapala?

Actually, I've just googled it, I have a few Rapala's, will get some dexters as they seem better for beach spinning as they seem to cast further. Going to Worbarrow Bay in 2 weeks, anyone got any tips on what works best there?

Re: Dexter or Rapala?

Hi Greenheart

I have lost too many Rapala's to risk them in anything but the completely snag free areas. My homemade knife and fork lures are doing well, I had a pollack the first time out and a schoolie bass the second. Hopefully tonight will be third time lucky!!!

Jon
