Hi all, just a quickie. I have just bought a 6ft spinning rod from eBay and there is a small flip up/down clip/eye thingy near the reel seat. Could anyone tell me what it is for? I was thinking it was something to do with using a multiplier instead of a fix spool? All help appreciated

Re: help with spinning rod Hello biggun, sounds like you have bought a baitcasting rod . Use it with a small muliplyer and yes the hook is for casting one handed. __________________ One day i will post a catch report again.

Re: help with spinning rod Cheers John, I had another thought just now, could it be for hooking your lure into when your not using the rod ?
