Keeping Peelers

I'm picking up fresh peelers for the forum boat trip on Sunday and will have to keep them fresh and alive overnight. Having never used fresh peeler before can anyone let me know the best way to keep the crabs and to transport them?

I keep them in the fridge if you give them a drink of fresh seawater every couple of days they last about a week.

Re: Keeping Peelers

Keep them away from mike he'll pinch them!!!!

nah bang em in a bucket with a bit of salt water and they'll be fine while your out on the boat, just replace the water every hour or so and they won't cook if its too hot.

good luck i'll see you there

John
