| Re: Re Freezing Bait If i were you mate i d get them in the freezer. A lot of people will tell you not to touch frozen peeler but ive had some of my best smut sessions with it. The other night all but one of my smuts was caught on frozen,it seems to be a lot more juicey Fish will eat rotten, worms, squid, mackerel, limpets and shellfish that have been washing about the sea for days after a storm so why not a slightly unfresh peeler? One thing i always do though is remove the gills and wrap one by one in cling film. __________________ One day i will post a catch report again. |

| Re: Re Freezing Bait Crab meat deteriorates so quickly. That’s why edible crab is cooked whilst still alive. I doubt it will be much good being frozen twice. Sorry. | Re: Re Freezing Bait i keep my crabs in a cool bag so any i don't use are still frozen and can be put back in the freezer. saves a lot of waste and money. if you do re- freeze them i would keep them seperate from the fresh frozen ones. so you know what your taking. smelly re-frozen worms are good for flatties so maybe they like the same with crabs. |
