shrimp rig hook sizes

what is the ideal size hook for mackerel on the shrimp rigs??

i think mine are too small, they're probaly a 1.

some mackerel are showing from the shore, so was gonna try them next trip.

not realy mackerel can be caught on any size hook up to 6/0 I caught one on a weight clip last trip out so don.t worry about it you will catch on size 1/0 alright.

i think my 1s have size 4 hooks, which i thought might be too small but look ok

iv caught plenty of macky and pollack on size 4 hooks and had some on size 6 aswel
