climping meet.......

As there has been a bit of interest about climping and stingers i thought it would be a good thing to start a thread open to all who wanna take on the challenge of hooking into (hopefully) the biggest fish of there lives off the beach!!!

The sting ray!!



Its gonna be a bit of a rush job trying to get us all together for this meet as i feel were gonna have to go pretty soon so if i could ask anyone who is interested in comeing to put the dates down that they can make starting from now until the middle of June and we will see what we can come up with!! I cant guarantee the stingers will be around until June but theres always a chance of a decent size bass or even a few golden grey mullet so touch wood no one shall blank!! (not even me) lol

go for it lads,they are great fun
i had one of 8lb off the beach about 20 years ago,believe me,they go like stink and leave smuts a poor second

Count me in. I have never had the luck of catching one, but one guy I knew said they go like smuts on speed. Some guy caught one down at Lee-on Solent a few years back. It was 58lb

I've got no weekends off now (Other than for the Smutt meet) until the middle of July. If you guys choose a date, i shall see if I can book it as holiday. Can't promise anything though.

shame to hear your not able to make an earlier date mate as i fear your gonna miss the action this year but hey I'm sure your make up for it on the smut meet!! thats gonna be a cracker!!

right guys realistically how soon you guys able to make it? within the next two weekend maybe? I'm thinking on the 20th......high water around about 7pm and not a bad size one either!

common chaps throw some dates at me.........i can do almost any date apart from the weekend of the 27th!
