frozen peeler

Having a tub of frozen peeler now,im wondering if i should thaw them out first or try to put them on frozen,and let them defrost in the water, allowing all the juices and scent to release around the hook !will this work anybody else tried it!!...lee.

I tend to take my crabs out of the freezer before fishing say an hour or so then keep them in a cool bag on the beach and take a few out at a time to defrost fully in the sun or or a little water.....and at the last result cup them between my hands until there ready to hook! never thought about hooking them frozen.

I'm sure many people will have different views on the mater so good luck and id say its all about experimenting and coming up with your own method to suit,

mine come straight out of the freezer and into a cool bag. i'll then take the crabs out one cast before i need them. the fresher the better really.
