| Re: shelters Holden's Beach Buddy is the best Kev. There is a Ron Thomson copy (which I have) which I find ok, but it's no where near the quality of the Holden one. Try Veals for prices mate Rob |

| Re: shelters I use a beach buddy ,and it is very good but my mate got a badger one as part of a deal. He got the shelter,a rod bag,a fish bag, cool bag and a rig wallet all for £50. The shelter is bigger than mine and i cant see that its poorer quility Beach buddys are good but there way overpriced for what they are. | I was a bit disappointed with the May edition of Sea Angler Magazine which was doing a group comparison on beach shelters. I wanted a comparison between the John Holden one & the Ron Thompson one. Guess what!!! The Ron Thompson one was not included in the test. ![]() __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey... |

| Re: shelters Got one of the black Ron Thompson ones, and I think it's fine. However, a bit small for 2 people, fine for 1. __________________ Dan `·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸ Big or small, look after them all! ¸.·´¯`·.¸ ><((((º> |

| Re: shelters i've owned the same holden beach buddy since about 1990 and i can't fault them, they may be comparitively expensive but seeing as it has withstood nearly 20years use and abuse i'm not gonna complain. the only thing thats broke so far is the door poppers , a couple of which have corroded and pulled out of the material. if set up correctly on shingle or sand they will cope with a force 5-6 without the need to tie em down . water proofing leaks after about 10 years but nothing that resealing wont fix. __________________ beer so many venues, so little time. |
