| strips or whole ok another question that i will be asking thinking of changing my name to the sea fledgling any way my question is about squids now today i went to my local tackle shop and bought some top store in the freezer so i have some what i bought was mini squids and large squids now what i would like is some presentation idea,s for squid either straight squids presentations or what baits work well as cocktails combinations with squid please . remember all my sea fishing will be off beaches i,m assuming boat fishing presentation will be different as you would be just lowering them over side allowing you to use bigger baits and whole baits . tightlines baitmaster ti |

| Re: strips or whole I'd go with whole baits Kevin, I'm a novice myself, but the bass I've caught were on rag with a couple of baby squid (whole) to tip it off. I've also missed big bites on a couple of whole squid. The others will be along to help soon, but that's what I'd use of our beaches. All the local reports in summer normally say whole squid is getting them. What beaches are you planning to fish out of interest? __________________ Dan `·.¸¸.·´¯`·.¸ Big or small, look after them all! ¸.·´¯`·.¸ ><((((º> |

| Re: strips or whole Hi Kevin, The question is - what fish will you be targeting? and from where, shore or boat? I can advise you on how to present squid for boat fishing, but unfortunately shore fishing is out of my depth. | Re: strips or whole Where i am Baitmaster i generally use squid to tip off or as a cocktail with sandeel for Rays, but use big whole squid baits sometimes 2 of them mounted on a pennel for Bass fished close often with a little bait elastic where the top one meets the bottom one to hold them together. |
