when ?? ok this is really stupid and i think i know why but i,m going to ask it cause i might be assuming wrongly but i,m sure there are a few out there who will give the right advice to me (the sea fledgling ) now when fishing off the beach is always better to fish going up to high tide and down for a couple of hours or is there times when fishing bottom of the tide and starting to come back in could pay dividends ? also day time fishing is this normally poorer than fishing a night tide is there any particular time that are better than others like a coming in tide at sunset /sunrise also i know this will matter where you live but what winds in you own experience either during or just after a big blow has give you favourable catches . again i,m trying to get a feel for the basics that i will need in my armoury as a starting point to get me going . tightlines baitmaster ![]()

Re: when ?? arround here over high is best for local beaches, but on some estuaries over low can be best, its very venue dependant though so if you can get local guys in tackle shop to spill beans then so much the better here day after good blow can be good, bass, doggie huss unless want makkie/gar and flatties then calm and clear is better bass = v early or v late dont like big noisey beaches sure others may give you ideas on your area will look in topmarks book later for norfolk venues __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives

Re: when ?? Every mark fishes at some state of the tide Kev. There are low water marks and high water marks and those marks that produce 2 hours down etc. As pingu has mentioned its all about knowing your local beaches, best thing to do is get out for a walk and speak to people fishing. __________________ One day i will post a catch report again.
