Re: red ice

Used to use 18lb on the beach all the time, its very abrasion resistant and makes knot tying easy.Use 50lb for shockleader all the time on the boat, never had any problems, has very little memory affect.Have not tried it on a fixed spool to be honest but can`t see it behaving any differantley

Re: red ice

well i,m going to go today a pick some up in the 18lb class and get spooled up thank for the insight into its abilities .

i also know that that henry gilbey swears by it too so .
and no one came on and gave it a poor guide so its good enough for me to use lets hope it does a fantastic job for me and puts loads of fish up the shore line for me

Re: red ice

Ive been using red ice 25lb for a while now on my slosh 30 had no problems with it except it seems sharper than other lines as i keep cutting my fingers on it, , i use daiwa tournament 18lb on my abu 6500 mag elite, never cut myself. Should also say that i got the red ice off e bay for £1.46, bargain
