Re: anchor parrafin pressure lantern

Try typing in Anchor pressure lamp on GOOGLE. I`m sure something will come up. I did the same for a similar type that I thought was obsolete and it threw up loads of sites that sell parts for pressure lamps . I didnt actually buy anything so I cant recommend any of the sites but it might add to your armoury of info.

Re: anchor parrafin pressure lantern

Hi again sorry it taken me some time to get back to you, there are 2 ways to light the lamp 1 you can light it the same way you would burn the mantle in with meths and 2you can use the pre heater, pump up to full presure open the PH and light you will have to keep pumping it up to keep the flame going this way uses a lot of parrafin then turn it on hope this help. Re: anchor parrafin pressure lantern

Dont do what I did once. I left my lamp in the boot of the car overnight ready for an early morning sesh on the beach. When I went to use it, I lit the pre-heater and the glass smashed into oblivion. What had happened was that the temp had dropped to below freezing and the sudden application of heat smashed it to smithereenes. After all that trouble getting the new glass too.
