Easterly blues!

These easterly winds are making my blood boil! We never catch anything here when the wind is in this direction! I`m dieing to get out and look for some plaice or turbot but dont want to stand in a freezing easterly wasting my bait! I know easterlys are good for some areas but here its killing the fishing!
Anyone else looking foward to a wind direction change? Well..........while we are on the subject A WHOLE BLOODY WEATHER CHANGE FULL STOP!!!!

Re: Easterly blues!

lol yes sole im with you on this one.. although in the summer an easterly doesnt affect me the mullet still feed in the harbour no matter what but this time of the year i would like to get out searching for plaice and cannot fish in these conditions..

on the bright side the sea in recent months has been very clear (if anything too clear can see the bottom in 15-20 ft of water!) and the easterlies stirr it up no end down here so a good blow may stir everything up and bring the fish inshore searching for food once the weather does calm down..

as far as i can tell this weather is going to last until at least the middle of next week with the winds swinging more northerly as the week goes on brrr!

also if its nice and rough the trawlers cant get out and catch em all

Re: Easterly blues!

Easterlys destroy the fishing here too,and the added misery is the onshore swells which make it a nightmare to even get out to steam off south to escape the wind.....
