Hi Gully

There are some nice bass in the harbour but I think fishing is banned inside the dockyard. Hopefully Portland Pirate will give you some better advice.

I would be interested in how you get on for my website, either fishing or diving.

Jon

Re: FAO Portland anglers

Hi Gully.

There are still some Bass around as John mentioned and more flounders than I have seen since I have been here. The forecast for Thursday is a strong Easterly wind. This is perfect conditions for the Bass if you try Sandsfoot Castle or the sailing club. If you can fish right under the castle and try and find the gulleys that run between the reef there. You dont want to cast out any further than 40m.
