Yes wait for 5mins, but you should know when its on as it will either go mental or give some long slow pulls as it tries to run! Some good spots round your way so you shouldnt have much problem!

Naaaaa, just stayed around here really! But would love to fish dungeness! Talking to some bloke on another forum who has had 12 sole in one session there! Full of cod in the winter........a bloody dream!

yeah it's horses for courses really mate, there are plenty of marks down your way i'm sure you could put me onto where i'd have a great time, nothing beats fishing unfamiliar territory does it, not knowing what to expect i love it. Never know might be able to meet in the middle sometime, never know with fishing.

best times ar in the summer when we have a big tide at about 2,am!
go to the pub with the gear stashed in the celler! have a skin full with the lads play pool then closing time zip over the road to the beach with a few more tinnys and a smoke, clear sky loads of stars and lots of banter
and have a crack at the bass! (just get flattys mostly but who cares)


spring sunrise with tench bubbling under your feet! and brew in your hand!

first carp of the session when all your doubts about your rig, bait presentation vanish!

reading a good book in your warm bivvy will the rain smashes down outside!
its freezing out ther and the chances of a bite ar minimal!
and you couldnt give a monkeys!

oh sorry it was favorite fish right!
i was getting carried away ther!!!! the list gose on!

havnt got one ther all great at the right time! and all ar fun on the right tackle!

all welcome mate! tho it can get a bit messy with every one smashed, crossing each others line and hooking each other on the back cast lol!
bloody good larf tho! if you dont mind taking your life in your hands ! anyone with some kit is instantly part of the crew!
were a welcoming bunch if you can give and take a bit of light harted micky taking! and can keep an eye on ya kit, ther a bunch of petty theives lol!
ive lost bits and bobs out of my tackle only to find that bag of swivels or bait sheilds in sombody elses box ! to lots of denials and pleeding ignorance lol
it was a bit of an on going thing , being stealthy and nabbing each others stuff!

Def summer, July and Aug. the waters warmed up, I can use my pontoon w/o waders. Can kick my way all over and let some bigger ones fight and pull me around. Big hat, cold drinks maybe lunch and make a day of it (weekday and have the whole place to myself)...darn...now I've cabin fever.

I enjoy the winter nights after the cod BUT the summer months out on the boat with beer in hand is just great - although they are everywhere the makeral fishing is superb on light gear.

Hoping to get out and catch a few decent bass this year - never had one on a lure and thats a main aim along with my first smoothound - hopefully the meet in June will sort that out !!
