april till june

ok now with the coarse season ending and not wanting to fish day ticket waters for the next three months i have decided to dust of my sea tackle when i get back from my break ,and have some fun sea sessions in the hope of getting a tickle on me rod tips ,i will say years ago i used to go a bit and more recently i went ( early last october ) and had my first ever bass
so i have very little knowledge to be honest and as much help would be appreciated .
my tackle will be two fixed spool reels and a pair of shakespear rods and a tripod .and a box of leads a other bits
my casting can only be described as pitiful at best and if being watched i certainly do give other anglers confidence with there own casting .
now i will probably be just fishing along the norfolk coast line between april to june what can i expect to be targeting realisticly
what bait and rig would be needed to give me the best chance of a bite
also will day time or night time session be better .
so please after you pick your selfs of the floor and wipe the tears of joys from your eyes and your sides have stopped hurting from where you have laughed to hard .
can i have some help please

tightlines

Re: april till june

Not much of a sea angler, but get out for the odd session.
During summer, we tend to get bass, eels, flounder and pouting, there's also normally a run of smoothound that tend to stay around for 1 week or 2, then move off and you never see them until the next year.
Best baits for summer seem to be rag and crab, I normally fish with a simple 2 hook paternoster.

Good summer beaches are Cromer Pier (fish down the side for the big bass (plenty of them normally) but make sure you use strong gear to stop them getting around the strucrure), Cley, Weybourne, Southwold etc..

As I say, don't go sea fishing much so that's all I can tell you from my limited knowledge.
