A Great Day Out Hi Folks, I have just returned from the Go Fishing show at the NEC thanks to Pingu (Dave). Thank you Dave for the tickets and excellent company. The Show itself was disappointing in as much that the sea angling section was virtually non existant. As I live in the country I thought that I would take the opportunity to re-stock my component box, no chance! There were no takers. Tonys Tackle were there with a few odds and ends, mostly rubbish. Breakway Tackle were there with a few of there own branded goods, when I asked them for Amnesia I was told to order it from their mail order section, "We only have a few weights here, we will bring more next year." Daiwa were there with their new rods. I took a fancy to the Kenzaki Braid 6 - 12 Special Boat Rod, however when I offered to pay for it I was told that they had none for sale and to try Tonys Tackle. As I said Tony didn't have one either. I could go on and on but I wont. Once again a Big Thank You to Dave and despite the lack of sea tackle we had an excellent day out. Thank you Dave Drew __________________ All that Glitters is not Gold Secretary of The Blandford Sea Angling Club

Re: A Great Day Out glad you had a good day drew, and thanks for the butty and coffee didnt think show was anywhere as good as last year sea wise It was definately more for course as ever, although even this seemed a bit more cramped than last year heres one of the sessions that drew got into the front row for alan yates talking scratching and bait ![]() dont think your missus was as interested though ![]() i did well on the carp and course freebies after working out that if you had a bum on a seat at start of a session you got a free bag of bait or boilies ![]() so i saw several sessions and i'm stocked for a good few trips at least thought i would get a casting lesson in before heading home, so met phill hyde (who I met for a lesson last year) out by the lake but couldnt try anything due to the ice ![]() due to poxy roadworks at bristol had a long slow drive home after a good day out and great too meet another forum member hope they get the show right next year dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives

Re: A Great Day Out surprised that they didn't want to sell you anything. if i were a dealer there i would be trying to sell everything and anything, as i'm sure that lots of people there had a bursting wallet for a bargain. sounds like you had a good time though and thats the main thing.
