Hello mate ,do you mean level wind?
Anyway if i were you i d get a 7ht,you wont go far wrong with one and there fool proof casting wise.As for level wind,if thats what you want, dont bother with one they reduce your casting by a fair way and are not realy needed anyway.
If i were you i would try to spend more on the rod ,maybe get the reel off e-bay .
On ebay you should get a 7ht for about 30 to £50.

Diawa 7HT as Gully recommended. Personally, I'd go for Penn or Abu Garcia reels, but thats my opinion and fishing is very personal when it comes to gear. Buy TSF and Sea Angler magazines and look at the adverts, there's some great combo deals in there

Re: Byeing New Rod And Reel But Im Confused

I mentioned the 7ht due to the money you had to spend. An abu 6500 is a better reel but will cost you a bit more,i cant comment on penn as i dont have one.
As for the rod,you said 30-50 pound,if you can save up a bit more and get something decent as your not going to get a decent rod for £30.
Seangler did a survey on the best 10 rods for under £100 about 6 months ago if you could get hold of it on line or borrow a copy it would be worth while.
As Rob has mentioned you can get some cracking combo deals at the mo,try to spend as much as you can, dont rush into it,dont go for owt shinney, buy cheep buy twice.

Re: Byeing New Rod And Reel But Im Confused

there's a batch of brand new abu 6500 (blue) going on ebay for about 30- 35 quid. they do have a level wind though.

if you don't want a level wind then go for a 7ht, as long as you don't have big clumsy fingers like me.

deffo save more for a rod though, the daiwa supercast 13ft is meant to be a good rod if you can find it dirt cheap.
