Buy a Coleman Duel Fuel lamp. They are a bit pricier than a Tilley but a lot less bother to get started. As for a multiplier you would need to give an idea on a budget. If you can afford it buy a Penn 525 Mag, Diawa SL20SH or my favourite an Abu Mag Elite.

Hi - have you considered a rechargeable electric lamp rather than a petrol lamp? Check out this Colemans one before you buy a petrol one. They're only £27.99 - the money you save can go towards a better reel. At only 30cm high they're also quite portable.

Call me a pyromaniac,but apetrol colemans much better,and theres always a bit to pour on drift wood ,to have a nice little burn up on the beach!!!!

Save fossil fuels man
Buy a decent head lamp,small to carry,on off switches,no messy fuel,broken mantles,trying to light ,no blockages etc etc.

I use a coleman battery lantern , the one that when u are not using it folds down into itself, its run off 4 od the D type batteries and use it in the tent and on the beach, batteries last for ages and is quite bright, i use a headlamp aswell, price of lamp from midwest camping about £20, as for reels i use a slosh 30 and a abu mag eilte, which i got in a chrismas sale for £55
