same hooks as me probably but the mullet where i fish are very very hit n miss and one spook will spoil the whole day so on some days where the water is real shallow and clear anything to help the chances of catching is worth doing aint it? so painting the hook white hides that point which you need showing from the bread for easier hooking(i think) But everyone has different views i think!

Re: coloured hooks?

when you strike with bread the hook goes through the bread so it dont matter if the point is hidden

Re: coloured hooks?

Hi

Always have your hook piont out of any bait - even if its only a few mm's

I will do a little pict over the weekend and post them

But saying the above sometime you have to hide a hook for shy fish and just strick hard but smooth

Re: coloured hooks?

Fresh bread is like putty no need for elastic ( But good idea )

I use forceps (spelt wrong ) to nip corners so it stays on the hooks - remember the old bread punch

But I never fish bread at distance - under arm casts only

Re: coloured hooks?

I have wraped it around a small piece of cork to help it float

and its worked - as long as its new cork not one from a wine bottle

also I have dipped the cork in say a flavouring and that rocks
