Caught my first Pollack & Conger !

Chaps,

Went out on Sunday to an inshore wreck just out of Exmouth - caught some small pollack for the first time, a makeral and big dog, and then finished off with my first ever conger - 20lbs !!

Wicked time but I must admit to being a little nervous seeing that bugger come to the surface after 15mins !!

I was going to ask how you unhook them ?We were lucky actually cause after getting a photo of it in the water it opened its gob and chewed the trace in half - not the ideal thing but at least it avoided the fun of unhooking it !!

Did you mention something about a T bar - how does it work ?

yep use a t bar

the hook bit on the t bar goes on the bend of the hook then you lift the eel up put the trace so it is vertical and next to the fishes body and shake them off

sometimes just falls out when you lift it

Well the picture I took was pretty rubbish cause it was with my phone !! Only really shows the conger lying in the water but Ill see what it looks like.
