| Re: Sea Fishing members day I WON THE CASTING COMPETITION - Because I cast 45 yards so reeled back in and caught a lump of seaweed. "Ha ha" you may think, but you're wrong, because that lump of seaweed contained no fewer than 8, yes, E-I-G-H-T assorted weights, along with numerous swivels, hooks, links, feathers, though unfortunately no fish.... It is a first for me however that I have returned home with more gear than I took! Apart from that, me n the family had a brilliant time in Abbotsbury, we went to the sub-tropical gardens, the kids zoo and the swannery, but I got kicked out of the swannery for lobbing a shad in to the lake (admittedly it was on the end of 10lb line and a light spinning outfit), they said something about hatching season!?!? Back to the fishing, thanks guys for another fantastic outing. Can't believe I couldn't even catch a mackerel, Richard's right, there were toddlers catching maccy by the bucketfull and I never even got a sniff! |
