cool bags?

i'm looking into buying some cool bags before the summer gets here.

i'm after a few sort of cooler pocket type bags, something about the size of a rig wallet, which are flat and obviosly insulated. i want them to store frozen sandeel, frozen crab, fillets of fish, etc.

and also after a large cooler bag to keep all my live worms in. and to keep/ transport macky, gars, sandeel, etc from the boat to the freezer. the bigger the better, as i take a load of different baits when match fishing.

any ideas/ recconendations would be appreciated. and any sites that give info on a range of cooler products, i've looked on a few online shops but most don't even give sizes.

cheers guys.

I like the Total Fishing Gear cool bags. Not cheap but very good.

Re: cool bags?

The new IMAX cool bags are the business, come in to sizes, the smaller will easily hold 6 boxes of squid in the main compartment, the large one probably holds 12.They both have other compartments, plus a seperate compartment for the freezer blocks, carry handles and shoulder straps. The smaller is £9 and the big £11.Mega value for money...

Re: cool bags?

last year i used 2 different 1s, 1 was a freebie from a drugs company which my mum got and the other was asmall plastic box style colman 1 which i got from a camping shop for £5, the plastic 1 worked best because it doubled up as a choppping board

Re: cool bags?

I know that my suggestion is probably a little small for your needs, but I can tell you that for hunting I use a soft insulated lunchbag, with those refreezable camping ice packs in it.

Re: cool bags?

Hi Big Guy,

I bought one of these last year,

http://www.concept-international.com...nic%20Sets.htm

I took out all the bits and pieces and now have a fantastic fishing bag, one side holds all my tackle and the other side with the use of various plastic boxes and freezer packs stores everything else. The type I use are watertight and airtight,

http://www.alacook.co.uk/en-gb/dept_286.html

Tesco sell similar boxes cheaper, just make sure that any boxes you use are watertight.

On each end of the bag there is an insulated wine cooler, these I use for my flask in winter and my cool drinks in the summer. I freeze my drinks overnight and put them in the insulated pockets and they stay cold all the next day.

Although I say it myself, other than my fishing tackle it is my best buy yet.

I bought the bag from John Lewis.

Cheers

Drew
