| Professional Angler: By Definition or Recognition? Gentlemen, I want to raise a question here. How can I be recognized as a professional angler? Is it something to do with certification or lGFA tournament? Appreciate your attentive reply. | Ham : 9W2PEP | SMS : 013 -269 2135 | |

| I would think that the definition of a professional angler is somebody who earns their primary income through angling, either as a guide, through sponsorship or by winning competitions. Excuse my ignorance, but wheres Klang Valley. ![]() __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey... |

| Re: Professional Angler: By Definition or Recognition? i would say that a proffesional fisherperson is someone who make a living from catching fish (mainly trawlers, potters, etc) a pro angler someone who earns a living from the sport (writer, matchman, field taster, sponsorship, etc) it's very hard to make all your living just from angling though, it would be a dream for me. |

| Re: Professional Angler: By Definition or Recognition? Professional Angler would be somebody who fishes for a living, or at least devouts time trying to get hired to do such. I consider the guys who drive fishing boats, aand catch loads of fish with big nets for sale at the market to be commercial fisherman, sinjce they get paid by selling fish, not fishing. |
