berkley fanish. does anyone use berkley vanish fluorocarbon? i've brought 2 spools (15.1lb and 21.8lb) and recieved one spool of 17lb which is 0.38mm and the 21lb which is 0.37mm. which makes the weaker line thicker. anyone had problems like this with this make of line. cheers.

Re: berkley fanish. it does look like different packaging but they billed me for 15.1lb thats meant to be 0.33mm. what do you think of it? i was gonna use it for the summer species (bass, pollock, macky, etc) and hopefully for gars if the thickness of line doesn't effect the bait movement that much. any idea whats the lightest b.s they do?

| Re: berkley fanish. Well just looked and I have 16.3lb at .33m So whats going on is anyone guest but 15/16 lb is good for general fishing but as ben says its taggles a bit and is a little brittle but its flourocarbone so it will and you back up for the less vis in the water is worth it when fishing is hard in clear water __________________ Richard|Sea Fishing |Carp Fishing| Spud Gun | Zander fishing | Fishing Reports | Hunting Reports |

Re: berkley fanish. I use 15lb Amnesia for Garfishing. They dont seem to mind the line and it is more resistant to their teeth. __________________ Check my blog for a daily fishing forecast from Weymouth, Portland, Chesil Beach & Kimmeridge Bay. www.fishingtails.co.uk

I have been using Orvis Mirage florocarbon for fly fishing. Amazing stuff & totally invisable in water. Sat next to a mate in a boat fishing identical outfits, lines & flies etc, except he used Drennan hooklength & I used the Orvis. I had 8 trout. He had 0. Mega expensive though £18.99 per 100m but it certainly gives you the edge in competitions!! I am still having problems with the knots slipping though when I use a 4 turn waterknot. Got to experiment in this area. If you are lucky, you can sometimes pick this stuff up in orvis factory shop bargain bins for about £3 a spool which is how I afford mine. I go to the one at the Clarks factory shop village at Street Somerset. __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey...
