Unhappy Re: Not Quite a pointless day on the "Grey Side"

I used to have a Lambretta TV175, sold it in 1975 for £15 & made a £5 profit. Wish i'd kept it though because I saw a restored one in a Classic Bike mag last year for £4000. Still prefer my 1971 Triumph Bonnie though.

Re: Not Quite a pointless day on the "Grey Side"

Yeh, hats off to those awsome two wheelers, we must be of the same vintage. But my best fun vehicle has to be the 1973 powder blue soft top Triumph Herald that I used to have. Deeply dangerous but loads of laughs. Wish I had it now, or maybe not, thinking about all that maintenance just to keep it going.

Talking Re: Not Quite a pointless day on the "Grey Side"

Yep, know what you mean. If you want to know where I live, just follow the trail of oil stains to my front door. Torrey Canyon had nothing on me!!!! Now who's old enough to remember that?

Hi Luke

I've only just seen this! No, it's a Lambretta Li125 series 3, which I'm restoring at the moment. Also got a Lambretta GP to customise, too many interests, so little time!

I once owned a Lambretta SX 200 had it re-bored out to a 225 then turned it into a Skellie bike took off all the stuff like panels etc and it went 10 times faster!

Those were the days....................................
