Daiwa Supercast

Thinking of upgrading my tackle,
anyone got any thoughts on a Daiwa Supercast 13 Power multiplier and one of the new Daiwa 7HT Turbo's ( like the colour )

Re: Daiwa Supercast

Not seen it to comment about it. Although i have to say i am looking forward to having a butchers at the new Diawa STS 13RGM (Rough Ground Multiplier) rod. Ment to compete with the Ron Thompson Axellorator and be priced about £150.

Re: Daiwa Supercast

I got the STS 13 PM rod, extremely light but powerful, however i would'nt use it over the rough stuff.Great for clean beaches paired up with a mag elite or 7HT.

Re: Daiwa Supercast

personally i would rather get a good second hand zippy, conoflex, century, etc. i would rather get a top of the range second hand rather than a brand new middle of the range rod any day.

if thinking of the 7HT turbo i would make sure you can use the small handles. i haven't used one yet but cant see how daiwa have really improved it from the original 7HT, imo it could do with a power handle( but still keep the reels balance) and a higher retrieve ratio and mags are always an advantage. imo you're better off going with the penn 525 super mag, it's got some really good reviews at the mo and you can pick one up for £125. BARGAIN.

i think they retail over £150 so you got it for less than 1/3 of the retail. now thats what i call cheap like the budgie. LOL.
