| Bass Trip Hi Guys. Just thought I would share with you my Bass trip that I had yesterday. Well as you can imagine for this time of year it was freezing, but as I have not had much time to go fishing for a couple of weeks I couldnt resist my mates invitation to have a go at the Bass that were still suposed to be of Portland Bill. I was desperate to beat my PB of 5lb so my mate decided to drift one of his favourite marks. Down went the 4" pearl shads and almost straight away he was into a fish. A nice 4lb bar of silver. We done a few more drifts and I could'nt hit the bites. However my mate managed to land a couple more to 7lb before we moved to another mark. At the new mark I managed to start to pick a few 4lb fish up which lifted my spirits quite a bit. As the tide eased off a bit we went back to the original mark. Down went the shads again. This time I snagged bottom and lost all my gear, which took me 2 drifts to sort out. Down went the gear again and within seconds I was snagged up again. Or at least I thought I was until the snag started kicking back. My 12lb rod bent double as a nice little fight ensued all the way to the net. My mate swiftly netted and boated my PB fish that weighed exactly 10lb 4 hours later. Next drift seen me in exactly the same position and in came my send double at 10 1/2lb. To say I was delighted was an understatement.
