Advice on which rod to get santa to deliver

I have a budget of £100 and am wanting to get Santa to deliver either one or two beachcasting rods. Can anyone recommend a good rod for distance casting that can be purchased for £100 or less. Or alternatively two beachcasting rods that cost 30 squid each?

Thanks

Tony

Re: Advice on which rod to get santa to deliver

I got the Diawa Sandstorm last year as a recommendation of a decent rod to go fishing - been well pleased with it and its priced at 99 quid. Need to decide if its going to be fixed spool or mulitplier.

The other alternative - I also had brought a cheap fladen beach rod plus multiplier reel for 45 quid combined - and Im still using it today !!

The choice is yours but I think Id go for the decent rod like the Diawa - half the time I dont even bother with putting a second rod out.

Im sure others will advise you mate.

deffo go with 1 decent rod. i would go for a well known name, you usually get what you pay for. what sort of ground are you gonna be fishing?

has the rod gotta be brand new or can it be second hand? second hand rods mean you can get a far better rod for your money and gives you a better choice imo.

Re: Advice on which rod to get santa to deliver

Thanks for the responses, I already have a Ron Thompson Firewave Bass Rod, which is nice to use, so I reckon I'll go for a single decent rod, will probably go for Brand new, cos I'm hoping to get down to Bournmouth on saturday to pick it out.

Big Guy, I'll be fishing mainly clean ground around the solent, although based on the amount of tackle i was catching in at Keyhaven something that can cope with a bit or rough ground would also be good.

Cheers, Tony

Re: Advice on which rod to get santa to deliver

for ur budget the sandstorm is ideal but if u could strectch perhaps 30 or 40 quid more u would be able to get perhaps a zziplex centry or daiwa from ebay, i bought my daiwa tdxs129pm for 140 of ebay and it had never been used the rrp of this rod was 300 quid, also i got a centry tip tornado match for 140 angain never been on the beach reatailing at over 300 quid so i personally would save the extra couple of quid and get a rod that will last years and will truly be better than the cheap sandstorm alternative, From here try to save more money and invest in mag elits as this will make ur whole fishing experience so much more fun and comfortable trust me, cheap is not the way to go

ditto all that. i'm a century nut and don't think i will ever use anything else.

ebay, adtrader, fishing mag classifieds are all good for bargains.
