| Re: travel rods? For a Jetstream Veals- £175 https://www.veals.co.uk/acatalog/Penn-shore-rods.html Gerry's of Morcombe £185 http://www.gerrysfishing.com/acatalo...ml&CatalogBody and the real bargin- Mainwarings £160 http://www.mainwaringsfishing.co.uk/...p?company=PENN I am also looking for a 3/4 piece rod and am considering the Jetstream although the Penn PPT Anacona interests me, but I have not seen any reviews on this rod and I am concerned that 16' will be to long for me. I hope that helps Steve. |

| Re: travel rods? Ben...don't want to put you off travel rods but maybe save you some money. I travel all over to fish; Gambia, Mexico, Spain, canaries etc. I use drainpipe!! Just went to a builders merchant and bought a length 6" longer than longest rod section, and 2 end pieces. Cost about 8 quid all in. I do take the trouble to ring airport before hand and advise them I have a long piece of luggage and have never had a problem. No extra charge either. Just tape ends on and cut off when you get there, remember to take tape! Jules. __________________ born to fish....forced to work |
