Re: Dover Breakwater

hello mate,the breakwater is surely your best bet for a decent cod this winter,my biggest shore cod of 18 1/2 lb came off there and it is capable of throwing up multiple catches.
the boat generally leaves the dump head at around 8 - 8.30.,i,m not sure of the cost,try dover saa site for more details.
as for getting there ;
after going down jubilee way (the half moon flyover that goes over the docks )you take a left at the roundabout at the bottom,stay on that road until the you pass the marina on the left,take a left at the next roundabout,you will see a swing bridge in front of you,just before that on the left are some pay and display parking spaces,park there,
on the other side of the road just before the bridge is a quayside path,walk along that until you see a pontoon below some steps,that is the dump head.
as for the fishing,be prepared for some strong tides,it goes from left to right and back again quite often,so strong tackle is needed.
the pier is numbered,generally speaking the lower the number the better the cod fishing,but this is not always the case,
best of luck mate.

Wink Re: Dover Breakwater

Dont get sea sick on the boat, it`s still worth trying for Mr. Bass down the side, try free linning a pelt/whiting at slack water..
