Free reel

I have recently subscribed to a well known sea angling magazine & got a free Ron Thompson Mission multiplier with my subscription. I have loaded it with 20lb line & have used it once for light boat fishing. It appears to be quite a nice little reel & looks nice in it's stainless steel finish. However I believe it is primarily designed for beach casting. I have not tried it for this yet or given it any serious abuse. Has anybody else had any experience with this model?

Plenty of experiance of Ron Thompson..... ,its greta gear while it lasts,doesn`t tend to hold up to a real pasting too well on the boats.

6 weeks .................and still waiting for my free reel

Mine came almost immediately, however the first issue of the magazine (Nov issue) took nearly 2 months to arrive followed closely by the Oct issue. & then they only arrived after I rang the publisher!!!

if its free use it never buyt anything other than abu mags or penn 525 series ur just wasting ur money

Hey Brian, how about you use it to try & catch a skate like the one in your avtar & then give us a report as to how it performs!!!
