new reel

got me self a new reel yesterday (yes another 1)
this time its a diawa 7ht, 2nd hand for £30
well used on the outside but well looked after on the inside
had a quick play with it yesterday but it was abit windy to put it through its paces properly
seems like a very nice reel
on the subject of reels i am after some advice, what with xmas coming up and everything i want a new reel for under the tree
i have narrowed it down to 2 reels, either the abu 6500 mag elite or the sports mag
dont have a clue which 1 to go for, atm its the mag elite because it has a clicker
whats every1 else's view on the 2 reels?

Re: new reel

sounds good, i was gonna go for the green 1s though just because my tackle gets used and abused and it wouldnt stay looking nice for more than 3 sessions and the green 1 is less likely to show it i think

Re: new reel

I had the sports mag Ben and on the first outing the rotary mag adjuster came off in me hand so took it back and got the green mag elite, cant fault it.

Re: new reel

the mag adjuster was a konwn fault to abu but have now replaced the crappy chrome adjusters with black ones that r reinforced, believe me they do not break easirly, everyone i no uses a sports mag and never had a problem
