Summer vs. Winter

When's your favourite time to be out on the beach or boat, summer or winter?

For me, it's winter time. I never have much luck during the summer normally only catching pout and the odd eel.

Winter however, plenty of whiting, the odd codling and flatty too. I love it!!

Man that quiet hard question as I love fishing on a boat both winter and summer as both have pros and cons but as for shore I much prefer winter as there are less people and seems like more fish

Back up north it was always the winter,it couldnt come fast enough.
But now i live on the south coast the fishing is more varied with each season bringing different fish.
The only really poor period down here is feb to may but thats the same in most places.

Spend all winter fishing for cod !......

The spring/summer produces all sorts Spurdog, Smoothounds ,quite a few different species of Ray,Bass,Tope and some others as well,much more fun.

i opted winter cos in the summer i cant stand the tinsel chuckers who cant cast and murder 100's of macky... and get in my way

and i really do hate the tourists trying to tell me i wont catch fish where i am fishing!!... i mean duhhh would i be fishing there if i knew thought i wouldnt catch anything?..
