Need a ID on a fish Hi. We caught this one in LI over the weekend. I thought it was a Bluefish but the teeth were different. It was greenish/blue-grey the top half of the fish and the bottom half was white. When looking from the top the fish had a "V" shaped stripe. Anyone know what type of fish this is? Is it edible? I have a link for the picture below. Thanks in advance! ![]()

Re: Need a ID on a fish Looks a bit like a young Greater Amberjack to me - or possibly Almaco Jack Check this link http://www.landbigfish.com/fish/fish.cfm?ID=44 __________________ RNLI Governor Nothing matters very much, few things matter at all - Plato ...only things like fresh bait and cold beer - Vagabond

Re: Need a ID on a fish I see the similarities however, there also seems to be a number of differences between NYC's catch and the Amber Jack.
